And I usually KNOW when I\u2019m doing it!<\/p>\n<p>Yes, when I feel frustrated, not\u00a0meeting my goals,\u00a0when I find myself wasting time,\u00a0missing deadlines, or I\u2019m feeling less productive\u2026.I\u2019m usually procrastinating. That feeling of, \u201cI don\u2019t want to do \u2018that\u2019, but I need\u00a0to do to\u00a0\u2019that\u2019, but then I don\u2019t\u201d \u2013 or I find something <em>else <\/em>to do.\u00a0I can identify those feelings and frustrations that go with procrastination, <em>and<\/em> I can as easily identify what happens when I <em>stop<\/em> procrastinating and start getting down\u00a0to business.<\/p>\n<p>I know if I\u2019m PRO-active (rather than, PROcrastinating)\u00a0I\u2019ll\u00a0take action on things I\u2019m avoiding\u00a0and as I continue doing that, life starts to come to order, my goals will be met, I\u2019ll even have more free time, my tasks will be completed, my to-do list will be checked off, and I\u2019ll feel more productive.\u00a0In generaly, I feel better!<\/p>\n<p>I have a lot of things I \u201csay\u201d to myself\u00a0to justify\u00a0procrastination, but in reality that \u201cjustification\u201d is just a nice way of saying I\u2019m making excuses.\u00a0Join me\u00a0as we evaluate whether we\u2019re\u00a0PROcrastinating\u00a0or\u00a0PROactivating:<\/p>\n<p><strong>If you say:<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<strong> Then try this:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I dont\u2019 have time\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Spend 30 minutes on it<\/p>\n<p>I dont\u2019 like doing it \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Do one thing you like, one you don\u2019t<\/p>\n<p>It takes too long\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Time it \u2013 you\u2019ll be surprised<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ll do it later \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Do it during<em>\u00a0your <\/em>\u201cprime time\u201d of day<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ll put it away later \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Put it away now \u2013 your done<\/p>\n<p>Only I can do it \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Instruct\/teach others\u00a0how to do it<\/p>\n<p>I don\u2019t want to do it \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Delegate, barter, hire<\/p>\n<p>I don\u2019t want to start it \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Work 30 min. each day \u2019til done<\/p>\n<p>Something else is more important \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Re-evaluate\/Reprioritize<\/p>\n<p>It must be done my way \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Get a life! That\u2019s only in movies.<\/p>\n<p>So\u2026.now that I FINALLY have this blog done, I can cross it off my list. I feel good.
