(Write.On.Wednesday)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b><a href=\"https:\/\/stupefied-maxwell.66-175-236-136.plesk.page\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/C_120.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-427\" alt=\"C_120\" src=\"https:\/\/stupefied-maxwell.66-175-236-136.plesk.page\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/C_120-300x200.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cindiferrini.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/C_120-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/cindiferrini.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/C_120.jpg 640w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Turning 60 didn\u2019t hurt at all.<\/b> Joe went first last April and it happened quietly for me at the beginning of the month as life continued moving at that pace we\u2019ve become accustomed to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>FUN \u2013 with family and friends<\/li>\n<li>FAST \u2013 the pace of living and loving life<\/li>\n<li>FAITHFUL \u2013 to His call on this life<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We enjoyed very special celebrations: a few dinners with friends, pizza with the kids and grandkids, and a day date with just Joe that was uniquely special.<\/p>\n<p>Each celebration was perfect in every way.<\/p>\n<p>Each celebration begged the conversation, \u201cIt\u2019s amazing how little time we really have left in this life.\u201d <b>Isn\u2019t that CHEERFUL!?<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Other conversations made their way to the \u201cold age\u201d or \u201cwe\u2019re really not <i>that<\/i> old, are we?\u201d or when looking across the room at an older person, asking, \u201cDo we look <i>that<\/i> old?\u201d comments. Well, folks, the answer to both is \u201cyes\u201d! Some might look better for their age than others, but whether we\u2019re 40, 50, 60 or older, we <i>look <\/i>our decade. We can\u2019t hide it!<\/p>\n<p>Some might choose to stay at some \u201cgolden\u201d age where strength, stamina, decent looks prevailed, but while aging makes some changes, aging <b>can be cheerful!<\/b> Joe and I have asked ourselves, \u201cHow are we doing <i>at this age <\/i>with the time He\u2019s given us and how will we use the time that\u2019s left? We want Him to use us &#8217;til we\u2019re used up!\u201d<\/p>\n<p><b>Ecclesiastes 5:20<\/b> is clear that we won\u2019t even worry about our age if we\u2019re doing what He has asked of us! We\u2019ll be so busy doing His will we won\u2019t even <i>think<\/i> about how old we are because we\u2019ll be happy doing it! It says, \u201cFor he will not often consider (remember) the years of his life because God keeps him occupied with the gladness of his heart.\u201d How cool is that?<\/p>\n<p><b>Ecclesiastes 11:4<\/b>, \u201cHe who watches the wind will not sow and he who looks at the clouds will not reap.\u201d I don\u2019t know about you, but I don\u2019t want to be found sitting around waiting for life to happen. I want to be busy, rest when needed, and get busy again because He has me here for a reason. So, I\u2019ll leave you with two closing thoughts:<\/p>\n<p>1-\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 I haven\u2019t said my age out loud yet\u2026.turning \u201cit\u201d didn\u2019t hurt, saying it might!<\/p>\n<p>2-\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 I\u2019ve gotta get going\u2026..I have some work to do!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Turning 60 didn\u2019t hurt at all.
